In particular, if you’re a non-Canadian looking to buy a property in the country, the country’s Foreign Buyer Ban limits the type of real estate transactions you can engage in. The law was made effective on January 1, 2023 and will expire in January, 2027.   • They have not bought more than one property in the country
  • They’re buying vacant land for residential or commercial development
